  1. First off, any Ben Folds fan should get this album, if they only have Way to Normal, or even if they haven't heard it yet. This album sounds WAY better than Way to Normal. I am literally hearing these songs for the first time. I bought Way to Normal when it was new, but didn't play it much after a short while, and it went to the shelf/5(19).

  6. Ben Folds seldom lets listeners forget that the piano is an instrument not just of melody, but of percussion. Way To Normal opens with "Hiroshima (B-B-B-Benny Hit His Head)," a pounding, true account of an onstage accident that left Folds with "blood on the keyboard.".Author: Keith Phipps.
  7. Ben Folds' seventh studio recording begins appropriately with an Elton John spoof. After a string of introspective albums, the old-school (as in Ben Folds Five era) "Hiroshima (B B B Benny Hit His Head)," with its bombastic strings, "Benny and the Jets"-inspired piano motif and not-so-subtle refrain of "They're watching me, watching me fall" marks a return to the snarky, sarcastic days of old 6/
